Fabula in Art | 2011

-The- point departure of my paintings are from the images of contemporary reality which reach to us through various mediums of  communication  . Since this particular show in Italy has a purpose, of supporting the under privileged children in my country, my new works for this show are focused more on issues related to childhood.

- The message in my paintings are not at all a conclusive answer, It is an invitation to the viewer to see and realize beyond what we see as reality.

-  Italy has the richest tradition of Art , Architecture and Aesthetics. When I think of Italy, the images of paintings and sculptures of renaissance masters to the most inspired Italian avant-garde Art flashes through my mind.

-  I intentionally displace the images from its original situation and place them in a totally unexpected surroundings. By painting layers of diverse images, I try to bring out  new perceptions and new meanings to  the original issue.

- As an artist born and brought up away from big cities, I always relate my present daily life to my past experiences. I believe that the basic feelings and emotions of human being are the same, irrespective of the situation they live in. I never intended to paint only the rural life, but most of my images happen to be from the life of common people from various situations. Images related to war as well as manmade calamities, endangered animals and birds, toys butterflies and war planes are  some of my tools for communication.
